The AA literature will tell you that a true alcoholic has no will power when it comes to drinking - that only a spiritual experience can help you to recover. You might find some of the AA tenants in direct opposition to the tenants of Satanism, depending on your flavor... but it all boils down to Honesty, Open-mindedness, and Willingness, followed by service to others with no hope for direct personal reward.
