i have seen certain people claiming to be members of the temple of the black light (my personal path) tell others (such as people i follow on instagram) they cannot post themselves, their altar. etc. in a somewhat confrontational way. i cant find anything in the 218 literature or old website one way or another about such things. these people are always anonymous pages with no posts but still it seems to me that if they were consistent, they wouldn't be on social media either? even if they arent posting?

if someone is too open about their practice on social media does that necessarily mean they are betraying the current? how about some of these "witches for hire" who are profiting? im still not sure about that one.

my personal stance is that you shouldnt show things like sigils, consecrated altar items, channeled words of power, etc without permission from a demon, but im not sure exactly where you draw the line.

if anyone familiar with the inner workings of the temple could explain this all to me i would appreciate it. it seems like something that, if it was so important, the temple would be very clear about, especially these days.
