Okay, if this isn't just a major virus doing major virus things (for the first time in the modern age) it's DEFINITELY this:
They want to find people who get pissed at the mandates and break them of their will.
It most angers those that might say,
Malcontent: "What's the point of a vaccine if it is now 40 times less effective?"
Government: "You want to work and be a Twitter posting cog, don't you? Then you will do what you are told or suffer the consequences."
And the ones that get pissed at the new normal are not welcome. Only the submissive and complacent are allowed. They want you to pull together and cheer for a bunch of cunt public healthcare nurses like month 1 of the lockdown. Like the good little fucking meme sheep the consider you.
In this scenario I feel at some point recently some interest decided insolence towards social contracts is the greatest threat to security. And the person who gets pissed at being told to do something they feel is unnecessary is a public enemy.
And I'm sure someone will respond the next lockdown with bullets because of it.
Really though, that's paranoid and insane, and most likely only a side effect of the pandemic adversity itself. But if it is some V for Vendetta thing it's like that.

No shit. The Netherlands has just entered a full lockdown. That means everything, except only essential shops, is closed also for the vaccinated. There is partial lockdown in Denmark and Canada with cinemas, theatres, museums and schools closed down. Italy plans obligatory covid tests before using public services also for the vaccinated. Travel to many countries in Europe is now impossible without testing. The vaccination certificate now is not enough.
The failure of vaccines is spectacular. That doesn't stop the stupid governments from making them mandatory. The rhetoric is: "They don't protect you from infection but they protect you from hospitalization and death." But this isn't true either. Soon there will be lockdowns everywhere because idiots do the same thing over and over again expecting different results.
The virus has indeed become milder but more infectious. The nasty thing about it is that the infection doesn't give long lasting immunity. Neither do the antibodies give protection against the new variants. So the theory that the natural herd immunity can be achieved with the majority of people recovering from the infection is bullshit too.

They are the only country on Earth with an infection rate that looks like this. (Below) And it's not like they don't let people in, they just force screenings and a 14 day quarantine for those entering.

Otherwise China emerges from covid the uncontested superpower, because this is an ever present costly thing for everyone but them. And everyone's life until it turns into something like a cold or seasonal flu in successive mutations. Just like the influenza A and B. So seasonal covid shots like a flu shot will become a thing.
I predict while It doesn't go away it becomes so mild it parallels mortality rate of a common cold or seasonal flu (which kills people all the time) and becomes like any other normal seasonal thing.
Mercy will come via the mutation of the virus itself eventually.
And now everyone but China has a new chronic malady to consider from now on.
Supreme court challenge scheduled. Biden says implementation of mandate on hold while challenge is happening.
7th is also when the expected covid spike is supposed to occur.
Who spins that better will determine who wins.
And if they rule against the mandate the argument could be:
"How can you uphold the Texas' law for "public health" reasons and oppose a vaccine mandate simultaneously?"
Honestly, they have almost pegged themselves into a corner where they have to uphold the Biden mandate. Otherwise they blatantly favor Christian "my body, my choice" conscientious objectors in their rulings.
