There were a few better posters around, like Troll (that one sticks out), and a few others that don't.  I wasn't here, I sorta fucked over the site owner so I could maintain being an in crowd tool and didn't return until late 2016. 

Honestly the highpoint of this site was 10 years ago when Diavolo gave Zach the money to buy MySatan just to close it down.  Those era of posters and assassin tags are long gone. It's like looking back at 1965 in 1976.  Too bad I missed it entirely.

I definitely remember the 2010 to 2012 period. I remember the Assassins. I remember that Jason King, Female Satan, Dan_Dread, and I think Mindfux all held the Assassin tag. I’m not sure if Interrogist (Darryl) was an Assassin or not? I think Anna probably knows this stuff better than I do. I think her memory is better.

I remember when Diavolo joined S.I.N. From memory, I think Diavolo was pretty much given the Assassin tag instantly. I don’t think Diavolo spent much time here though.

That 2010 to 2012 period was a good one from my point of view. I think a lot of brilliant stuff was posted during those years and there was a lot of ruthless stratification taking place during debate. Honestly, you really needed to know your shit during those years if you posted – that’s my opinion. There was bullshit for sure, there usually is.

I remember I once had a conversation with Dark Logos, Sinister Moon and Diavolo. This was not at S.I.N, but elsewhere. I had a lot of respect for them. I think we were discussing sinister philosophy and sinister praxis. I quickly realized where my limitations were. I quickly realized where my boundaries were and how I could grow beyond them or how I could transcend, if I wanted to. Very heady stuff. Anyway enough rambling and reminiscing.     

Matthew, no Darryl didn't have a tag, unless it was only temporary. JK at one time gave many tags but came to regret it so a couple of users got demoted.

forgive my ignorance, but what is an assassin as it relates to the conversation? am i correct to understand that none of the persons you mention are here? you speak fondly of this time period, might i ask why so?

Assassin tags were awarded by JK, who was then a moderator, to the people he deemed the most challenging and demanding opponents in a debate. He, himself, held the tag only temporarily. These were fancy titles, nothing serious about it. There were others, like "Zach's Bitch" Zach awarded to the female users he was most fond of. There was "village idiot" awarded to one guy, Coffin Puppet. He had it changed to the "Knight Errant" later but that was temporary and he got later stuck with the "village idiot" tag. He liked it, it wasn't an attempt at humiliation, he agreed or asked to have it.

It was the time of light hearted discussions, humorous banters and teasing. I wouldn't call that "ruthless." Sure, there was drama, name calling and even public humiliation but that was playful, comedic. It was the time when people didn't take themselves too seriously. It was the main motto of this site; Don't get butthurt, don't be oversensitive, don't take yourself and the virtual drama too seriously. Bring your best and have fun.

Most of the users from that time are no longer here. They left because they either got bored, moved to other things or had a personal conflict with Zach. Only me and Matthew remained. Dimitri, I think, also remembers that time. It's not going to come back because people change, sometimes for the better and sometimes (unfortunately) for the worse. 

Of course, this is my perspective, how I personally viewed the network back at that time; that is 2011 - 2013. It was fun but I don't think that now it's so much worse. There are still interesting discussions going on. At least, for me. I wouldn't be here for ten years if I thought there is nothing I can get from here.

@CC, thanks for the compliment. I don't really want to come off as "intellectually intimidating." Personally, I'm quite modest. But I like being direct and I like teasing, drama and argument for the sake of an argument. Perhaps, this is why people might get such an impression.

I personally find much of my extensive posting history quite painful. Including this eventually. Still spend an inordinate amount of time trying to get the WB Frog to sing and dance actually.  Bitch doesn't even ribbit anymore. Can't use cunning under a deliberate veil of handicapped ignorance on a purposefully uneven playing field. 

I hold out hope it one day returns as itself so I can say, "Come at me, BRO".  I'm pretty sure it's enough of a fan of one prominent poster here and it is my hope my "words are carriers of intent" and this is seen as a direct invitation.

That would be fun for everyone.

And I'm not the only one. When the entire track of her internet history is people wanting to bash her fucking skull in, and accusing her of fucking with them, there's only so long she can say, "I get this all the time".

And like she would often say, I don't need you to cosign, but I am going to keep talking shit and looking crazy until I get my fucking answer. 

And if I don't. I may go to Virginia Beach and slit her fucking throat personally to get closure in prison or stand your ground death. 

And I really hope all that shit about her being a little bitchmade domestic spy is true as well.
