If you can back up what you're saying, instead of relying on EI (emotional intelligence) to support your claims, negativity is generally overlooked.

If you're insinuating that I'm joking about not joking, ask Dimitri if him and I are on a chummy basis in which to crack friendly jokes on one another.

Satan is the adversarial force in nature that governs all life; it is observable, but unknowable, transcending both science and spirituality.  Those who acknowledge, and embrace this force sometimes call themselves Satanic.  

"Satan" itself is just a label, it's an ancient word that translates into Adversary.  Some would argue it's ties to the Abrahamic archetype, but again, just labels.  Some people like personification within their paradigm, which might also explain their reverence for such a character.

If we are to understand that self-preservation is Nature's highest law, then it stands to reason that Satan (the Adversarial force) is it's governor.

I started this post so I thought I would finish it with what I gathered so far. The force of nature that is attributed to Satan is purely the force for survival. Individual replication of DNA as Richard Dawkins posited seems to be a starter for ten. When we accept individual survival as a prime motive and apply it to our individual stories this is the application of the force of nature which is Satanic

I suppose that would explain Satan in a modern scientific fashion, there is also the inherent need for adversity without which humanity would die.  There is also scientific evidence to support this, and has been philosophically attributed to Satan.
