The same has happened in Canada. Of course, the official narrative is that young people, especially women are more likely to suffer from severe side effects, like blood clotting. But my conspiracy prone mind is telling me the actual reason is eliminating the retired and old people so that they don't drain the system.

The vaccine passports in the EU are supposed to guarantee the right to freely travel abroad without the necessity of undergoing quarantine or getting a negative test result. But these are merely promises. If some vaccines get banned in the EU (and I suspect AstraZeneca has a considerable chance of getting banned in near future because there are more and more reports of serious side effects), then those who received the jab will have to either get tested or undergo quarantine anyway when they want to cross the border. Because the EU only accepts authorized vaccines.
The mask mandates are for everyone. Lockdowns affect everyone too. The question is whether you're willing to risk your health in return for dubious privileges that can never materialize.
