In a universal/existential "Why do we exist" sense life is indeed without meaning or value. However, that doesn't mean a person is without values.
I had a friend growing up who was charismatic as all fuck, loved that christian god of his and that skateboarding youth group. But he was also the type to sell a stolen 4K sound system to one 'friend' for $500, then steal it back and sell it to another 'friend' for $700.
Much like his 'christian values' didn't really contribute to his ways as does nihilism with satanism. Just in the inverse. He was decidedly more selfish and carnal, just with Jesus as his clemency.
Different value sets may be:
Christian: Thou shalt not steal
Personal: Fuck stealing, thou shalt not fuck over friends
Nihilism is recognizing that lack of obstencibly moral valuation, what happens from there is a matter of respect and personal code.
