So, i'v been thinking as of recent of how to stay positive, during moments when you become annoyed, and frustrated. I have a temper problem, that has brewed and built up over the years. I live with someone who is Schizophrenic, and they always talk to them self. Sometimes it gets intense to the point, to where they are Yelling out, and thats when my anger really kicks into overdrive. I admit, that i have gotten angered to the point, to where i have punched holes into thin walls out of frustration. I have learned to control my impulses during bullshit moments, but i still have temper issues with them. I was wondering, if someone could touch on how to stay positive, and control my anger level during these types of moments. I already try to control it, by walking outside and taking a breathe of fresh air. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it curbs it to a certain extent. This is a issue that has persisted for years, and at this point its gotten to be a Daily thing.

You might try reading about a method called, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, (REBT).

Some say it's bullshit, but it has worked for me,  to the point where I can control my reaction and my emotion to the point of being accused of not having either.

The main idea behind REBT, as far as I understand it,  is that it is not the triggers, or situations that create anger,  but what you tell yourself about the trigger that does it,  and it offers advice on how to re-evaluate what you tell yourself about different situation.

In your situation, this might mean that it's not your room mate and his actions that make you angry, but what you tell yourself about his actions.

The trickiest part about REBT, is remembering to apply it, when things are getting under your skin,  instead of reacting without thinking about the situation first.

Anyway, it's something to consider looking into.  It's of course a lot more involved then what I'm writing here,  I'm just trying to suggest something to look into, not trying to explain it completely.

Quote from FraterLuciferi Was my response to intellectual for you?
No i read it, i just didn't reply. I agree with you on it, an just about everything you pointed out, i actually do lol. I'v been considering personal ritual to try and expand my thoughts, so that maybe it can help curb my temper. I'v been reading The Satanic Rituals, as well as the black book. My only problem, is financially, i don't have enough to purchase the things i need for Ritual.
